HART Prize for Human Rights

The HART Prize for Human Rights is an opportunity for you to find your voice about a human rights issue that you are passionate about. You can choose to create either an academic essay where you write your own question, OR, a creative project which can utilise any medium of your choosing (it could be poetry, art, film – anything!)

Who can enter?

  • 11-14 (Junior Category)
  • 15-18 (Intermediate Category)
  • 19-25 (Senior Category)

Why take part:

  • Research a topic you’re passionate about
  • Share real-life stories of courage in adversity
  • Help your friends think critically about human rights
  • Raise awareness of issues that aren’t in the news

You could win:

  • A cash prize
  • A signed book by Baroness Cox (pictured)
  • Work experience with HART
  • A tour of the House of Lords
